Terms and Conditions
Price and Accuracy of Information: Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in this website; however, errors can occur. You will be advised of any such errors, if known, at the time of your booking or as soon as possible. The prices in this website apply at the time of compilation but may vary. The exchange rate varies but is approximately £1: € 1.5
Arrivals: Key collection is normally 14.00-20.00. Special arrangements may be possible. Guests will be responsible for any costs incurred due to late arrival and no refunds will be made for costs caused by late arrivals.
On arrival guests will be expected to fill out arrival cards giving names, addresses, passport details of all occupants, clarifying details of the property booked, the dates and times of departure, etc.
No persons other than those stated on the booking form may occupy the property. Excepting infants, under 3 years old, the total number staying will not exceed the number of beds indicated for that property in the accommodation details.
If you wish to be joined by friends or family for a few days in your villa, please let us know in advance and this may be arranged. If the numbers are increased, a charge may be made, which will be considerably less than the charge for any unauthorised occupancy of the villa.
If the conduct of any member of the party is prejudicial to the well-being either of other visitors or the property itself then we may repossess the property and refund money in respect of the unexpired portion of the booking.
Booking deposit: If for any reason beyond our control, for example, fire damage, the property is not available on the dates booked, all deposits will be refunded in full and we shall not be liable for any further claims.
Breakage deposits: A refundable breakage deposit against possible damage or loss is included in your booking fee.
Villas: All villas are let on a weekly basis with Saturday arrivals. Villas are available from about 14.00 on the day of arrival. We have made this earlier because of the variety of flight arrival times but just occasionally you may find the staff have not quite completed their preparations and we ask for your understanding. Villas must be vacated on the change-over day by 10.00 am.
All villas are supplied with bed linen, towels and kitchen equipment. Beach towels are not provided, and you should therefore bring your own.
We take pride in the spotless cleanliness of the houses. Cleaning is twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Please allow cleaning staff in from 10 am. Clean linen and towels are provided weekly unless more frequent service is specifically arranged.
A supplement will be charged if the kitchen area and equipment are not left clean for the next guests
During the final cleaning on your departure day, any breakages/damage discovered should be reported to the manageress. On your return, you will be contacted to confirm the charges to be subtracted from your deposit
Cots: A cot is available. Please check availability when making your reservation. There may be a charge for the use of a cot. High chairs are available for hire in Nerja and Frigiliana
Kitchen facilities: A full complement of cooking utensils, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, electric kettles etc are included.
Washing machines and dishwashers: Villas are equipped with one or both of these except El Huerto and La Cuadra. If you are not sure how to use them, or what detergent to buy, please ask the manageress for assistance. You will be liable for any damage caused by misuse of such appliances.
Satellite television: Some satellite TV channels, BBC News, CNN, local and some other stations are available.
Heating: Between November and April it is obviously colder, and evenings can feel quite cool. There are wood burning stoves in all the houses at La Molineta. Cortijo Rosa has central heating and an open fire. Wood is supplied, chopped and ready to burn, for which there is no charge. You may want warm clothing for the winter evenings. Beds are supplied with electric blankets and bedrooms have electric or gas heaters.
Swimming pools and gardens: Although the private gardens and pools are for your exclusive use, gardeners and pool maintenance staff are employed by the owners for essential maintenance. Please allow them into the property to do their job.
Villa privacy: La Molineta is a group of properties in a village-type layout, therefore it is not possible to guarantee absolute privacy all of the time.
Car parking & garage arrangements: Off road parking for El Rosario, Media Luna, La Casita and La Cuadra is available and there are individual parking spaces for El Molino and El Huerto.
Water supply: Water is a scarce resource in all hot climates but in Andalucia there has been a severe drought for several years. We would ask you to be considerate when using water. With this water shortage, water pressure can also lessen: obviously, this is beyond our control and we would ask you to be understanding of the conditions.
Beach charges & facilities: All beaches in Spain are, by law, free. La Molineta does not provide beach towels and we request that you take your own towels with you.
Safety: Guests are warned that there are swimming pools, terraces, stairs and hard surfaces throughout the property. These properties are protected as they are in an area of outstanding beauty and, although all reasonable care has been taken to make things safe, there may be hazards which cannot be avoided without changing the character of the property. Parents, in particular, must be responsible for the safety of their own children.
Health: There is a medical centre in Nerja where English is spoken and another in Frigiliana. Ask the manageress for more information.
Emergency services:
Ambulance 061 Police 091 OR, for theft, Guardia Civil 062 Fire 080
There is a hospital offering full medical services in Velez Malaga 20 minutes away by car.
British visitors should always carry a completed form E111 (available from the Post Office in the UK), which can help you get emergency medical treatment in Spanish state hospitals. However, it is not a substitute for medical and travel insurance. 'A Travellers Guide to Health' is a leaflet available from your doctor, Travel Agent or by phoning Freephone 0800 555777.
Creepy-crawlies: In rural locations, it is likely that you will be visited by creatures living nearby. There is the usual array of Mediterranean flying and crawling insects. La Molineta bedrooms are provided with mosquito screens and plug-in anti-mosquito appliances that require a tablet to be inserted each night. The gecko (lizard) is very common in Spain and quite harmless. Ants are attracted by crumbs left lying around, so it is in your own interests to keep your house as clean as possible.
Passports & visas: All British citizens must be in possession of a valid 10-year passport. Everybody, including children and new born babies, must have their own individual passport to travel abroad. British citizens do not currently require a visa to visit Spain.
If you are not a British citizen, you should check visa regulations with the Spanish Consulate and any other consulates if you are travelling through other countries. We cannot accept responsibility or consider refunds for clients who cannot travel because of incorrect documentation, incomplete passports or visas.
Credit cards: Credit cards are less widely accepted in Spain than in the UK.
The Euro: The currency in Spain is the Euro. Pesetas are no longer legal currency.
Disturbance in resort: During your holiday you may find that construction or road work is taking place near your accommodation. If we know of any work which could disturb you, we will make every effort to inform you in advance. However we cannot be held responsible for work or noise that is not on our property.
It may also be necessary to carry out maintenance work within the Molineta itself but we will endeavour to keep any disturbance to a minimum.
Spain is a boisterous and often noisy country, and traffic and other sounds can present problems in most places in the world today. La Molineta is beside a busy road and some road noise is unavoidable. Friday and Saturday nights can be especially busy.
Personal safety: La Molineta has not had problems with crime to date and is considered exceptionally safe but crime is a problem in any European country. Safes have been installed in the houses for small valuables. road and some road noise is unavoidable. Friday and Saturday nights can be especially busy.
